Camden Somers Township Fire & EMS

Welcome to the official website for the Camden Somers Township Fire & EMS Department. 

The Camden Fire department was established in 1895. Running exclusively as a volunteer fire department until January 1, 2002. At this time, the Village of Camden and Somers Township combined to create what is now known as the Camden Somers Township Fire & EMS. Through this, the department has been able to provide 24/7/365 staffing of 1 ALS equipped ambulance by part time employees. The governing board consist of 6 elected officials. 3 from the Village and 3 from Somers Township. Current sitting board members are: Jeff Steele, Judy Michael, Lizzy Jones, Andy Groh, Bill Mcquistion and Jeff Brandenburg.
