EMS
Medic 40
Medic 40 is a front-line Advanced Life Support ambulance staffed by certified paramedics and EMTs. This unit responds to medical emergencies throughout the service area, providing critical pre-hospital care and rapid transport to medical facilities.
EMS
Medic 41
Medic 41 serves as a second ALS ambulance, providing additional EMS coverage during peak call volumes, mutual aid responses, and large-scale incidents. Equipped with full paramedic-level medical equipment and supplies.
Fire
Engine 40
Engine 40 is the department's primary structural firefighting apparatus. This pumper engine carries water, hose, and a full complement of firefighting tools for structure fires, vehicle fires, and other fire suppression operations throughout the service area.
Tanker 40
Tanker 40 is a large-capacity water tender that provides essential water supply support in rural areas without fire hydrant coverage. This apparatus is critical to fire suppression operations in Somers Township and other areas where hydrant access is limited.
Brush 40
Brush 40 is a light attack wildland firefighting unit designed for off-road and grass fire response. This apparatus is equipped with a high-clearance chassis, water tank, and pump capable of operating in fields, pastures, and areas inaccessible to standard engines.
Command
Battalion 40
Battalion 40 is the department's command vehicle, used by the Fire Chief and incident commanders to coordinate operations at multi-unit emergency scenes. Equipped with communications equipment, tactical planning tools, and command resources.
Boat 40
Boat 40 is the department's water rescue vessel, operated as part of the multi-agency Water Rescue Team. This unit responds to swift water rescues, surface water emergencies, and search and recovery operations on rivers, lakes, and flood-affected waterways.
